It’s a performer’s job to entertain the crowd, not worry about unplanned or unforeseen events. That’s where the Marine Agency Corporation steps in. Our performers insurance program provides liability insurance to meet the needs of various types of performers.

Whether the performer is a big-name, full-time DJ or a seasonal, part-time Santa Claus, we’re here to help them protect their business.  Coverage options range from one-time special events to annual policies for protection all year long.

Please note:  coverage is offered to individuals only.  We do not offer coverage for any type of performance involving fire, weapons, or pyrotechnics (fireworks).

What Our Performers Insurance Covers

Our performer insurance, offered by the Sports and Recreation Providers Association Purchasing Group, provides up to $1 million in liability coverage against claims of:

  • Bodily injury
  • Property damage
  • Personal and advertising injury

A big plus of our insurance is no deductible, with the insurance automatically covering claims relating to:

  • Injury or death of spectators or volunteers
  • Property damage; product liability
  • Activities needed to conduct performance
  • Alleged general negligence
  • Use, maintenance or ownership of practice areas or fields
  • Corporal punishment

Even if a claim is groundless, our insurance takes care of the cost to investigate and defend against it. General liability insurance is provided by the U.S. Fire Insurance Company, which received an excellent “A” rating from A.M. Best Company.

Who Our Performer Insurance Covers

A wide scope of different performer types is eligible for our program, ranging from balloon artists to storytellers with puppeteers and belly dancers in between.  Important – live bands are not eligible for this insurance program.  Please call us for assistance at 800-763-4775.

Optional Coverage

Performers may supplement their coverage with options that include:

  • Equipment coverage: Insurance from Inland Marine Insurance covers performance equipment and gear up to a specified limit.
  • Hired and non-owned auto liability coverage: Performers can protect rented, borrowed and other vehicles they don’t own but need to drive for business purposes.
  • Increased limits: Performers may opt to increase the aggregate limit of their liability insurance above the standard $1 million.

A number of exclusions apply to our performer insurance, all of which are outlined in specific policies and subject to policy terms and conditions.
